Pastor Gamaliel, director and founder of SalGOERCO, the charity we support in India, has long had a heart for supporting elderly people. He has now found land with a suitable building to house the elderly ladies he supports in the area. This 9-cent plot (Approx. 364 square meters) next to the church is costly. The owner of this land is prepared to keep the price, valued at 81 lakhs, to 70 lakhs, as they have witnessed and appreciate the charitable work SalGOERCO are doing. It is a generous offer. In June, Gamaliel gave the owners a deposit of 20 lakhs with an agreement the rest will be paid in instalments by October 2026.

The existing building on the site has a strong foundation and two sections for sleeping and a kitchen/dining area, both with veranda’s for sitting out on. It has recently been painted very colourfully by a local man.

Please help Gamaliel and SalGOERCO to raise the money for this plot of land so the elderly ladies can finally have a place to call home. Anything you can spare will be put towards the next instalment. The local churches in and around Bapatla and two in Holland have covered the first two instalments of 5 lakhs each. Please help SalGO Assist to raise the money needed for the next instalment due at the end of July. Approx.£4500 at current rates, so no small task!
